Objectives of NFA
The main objectives of NFA are to:
>> help in developing the professional competence of the members
>> boost the morale of the members
>> enhance awareness among general public about the importance of the scientific management and conservation of forests, soil and watershed, wildlife and biodiversity
>> exchange information on forestry and related natural resources issues with national and international institutions
>> provide expertise services on forestry, and related natural resources and environmental issues to persons, institutions and/or government. >> play a leading role in assisting and advising the government to formulate sound natural resources management policies
>> organize conferences, workshops, seminars, talk programs to discuss and suggest policy and technical matters on forestry and related natural resources issues
>> conduct research activities in forestry, natural resource management and environmental issues
All general and life members of NFA together constitute the General Assembly. It is convened at least once in a year. The General Assembly is the supreme body that guides, directs and controls the executive committee.
We are happy to share that the, NFA is going to organize its 22nd General Assembly on Chaitra 26th , 2072 at DDC’s Hall (Opposite to Singhadurbar South Gate ) starting from 11:30 am.
As we had announced the venue at Forestry Complex for coming 22nd General Assembly, now the changed venue is Kathmandu District Development Office Hall. Please share among other members also.
